NPE Supplying Penrith with a Wastewater Bypass System to Facilitate Pump Station Upgrades

The wastewater bypass system includes two Wastewater Submersible Pumps equipped with soft starter control panels and NPE Telemetry. NPE has integrated its Telemetry system with the Client’ online SCADA system, so they have full transparency and confidence their asset is being appropriately cared for at all times. This comprehensive setup incorporates discharge poly piping, level sensors, check valves and flow meters, changeover switch panels, flush points, and Muni plug isolation monitoring online for safety/ leaks or drops in pressure, enabling seamless operation during the upgrade.

In addition to mains power, NPE has implemented a robust contingency plan by supplying a Diesel Genset to mitigate potential power outages. As part of NPE’s commitment to quality assurance and advanced monitoring, the system has been configured to notify a predetermined list of mobile numbers, including NPE staff, through text message alerts in the event of critical conditions, including alerts for rising water levels and pump start conditions, ensuring proactive response and continued system integrity.
